Dry cleaning is similar to washing but without the water. Dry cleaned garments are cleaned in a machine that looks like a giant washer with one major difference — instead of using water or anything water based, a liquid is used that does not contain any water.
Three things cause shrinkage in garments; heat, mechanical action and moisture. By removing moisture from the cleaning process and replacing it with a liquid that contains no water, clothes can be safely and effectively cleaned without shrinkage. Materials like wool and silk generally have to be dry cleaned. By eliminating moisture from the cleaning process we are able to clean your garments while extending their life.
Our prices are competitive in the Ladera Ranch and surrounding areas Dry Cleaning market. Our consistent focus is to provide our customers with excellent customer service as well as exceptional quality cleaning.
Under normal conditions, the process of dry cleaning should not shrink your clothes. The process is called “dry” cleaning, because rather than using water to wash your clothes with, we use a chemical solvent in a machine that both washes and dries your clothes. Among other things, these machines are specifically designed to avoid causing fabric shrinkage. In fact, your clothes are much more likely to shrink if they are washed in water.
No. The truth is, dry cleaning prolongs the life of a garment. Stains set over time, ruining your clothing. Also, dirt and grime are abrasive to clothing and cause wear to the fibers of the material. If that doesn’t convince you to dry clean your clothing more often, this will. Insects are attracted to the dirt and grime, which will only cause further damage.
